Mr. Asante Richard is a tutor of English in the Department of Languages at the Kibi Presbyterian College of Education, Ghana. He holds a Master of Philosophy in English and a Bachelor of Arts (English) from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi. Besides, he holds Diploma in Journalism from the Institute of Business Management and Journalism, Kumasi, Ghana and a Single Subject Diploma in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Management & Administration, and Advertising from the Institute of Commercial Management (ICM- UK). Mr. Asante has taught English language at all levels of the Ghanaian educational system: basic, secondary and tertiary. He has served in different capacities such as headmaster, chaplain, English teacher and Head of English Department in some Senior High Schools in Ghana. In 2023, he received a letter of commendation for his invaluable contribution to the Professional Learning Community Sessions instituted by the Ghana Education Service.
Mr. Asante is also a part-time English Lecturer at the College of Distance and e-Learning, University of Education, Winneba as well as the Institute of Education Sandwich programme, University of Cape Coast. He has more than seventeen (17) years professional experience in teaching English language. He has attended many workshops to enhance his professional knowledge. For instance, in 2022, Mr. Asante was awarded a Certificate of Participation in a Two-Day Capacity Building Workshop organized by the University of Education, Winneba on the New Educational Curriculum. Again, he obtained a Certificate of Participation in a Three-Day Training Workshop on Supported Teaching in Schools (STS) organized by the University of Education, Winneba in 2021. His research interest includes Semantics, Discourse Analysis, Sociolinguistics and Pragmatics. Mr. Asante Richard is an excellent communicator with great interest in human behavior, research, reading, and creativity to achieve immediate and long term goals.
