Ama Konamah is a Science Tutor at Kibi Presbyterian College of Education, with 22 years of experience in teaching various topics such as Biology, Curriculum Studies in Science and Method of Teaching Science, a PhD candidate from the University of Education, Winneba Ghana, and holds a Master of Philosophy in Science Education from University of Education, Winneba, Master of Education in Science from University of Education, Winneba. She obtained her first degree in Science Education from the University of Education, Winneba. She also had her Certificate ‘A’ from St. Joseph’s College of Education. Her research focuses on innovative teaching methods to make STEM education more accessible and engaging for deaf students and integrate deaf students into the STEM Education.
In the classroom, she fosters an environment where students feel empowered to investigate, question, and discover the beauty of science. Her teaching philosophy is based on the belief that with proper guidance, encouragement, and curiosity, every student has the potential to excel in science. Her teaching methods prioritize real-world applications, collaborative problem-solving, and the development of critical thinking skills.
Ama is a strong proponent of incorporating technology and interactive learning tools into her instruction, aiming to make Science not only understandable but also enjoyable. She actively participates in competitions, and workshops, fostering curiosity and independent exploration.
