Dora Kissi is a Math Tutor at Kibi Presbyterian College of Education, with over 20 years of experience in teaching various topics such as Algebra, Geometry, Statistics, and Probability, a PhD candidate from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, and holds a master’s degree in applied mathematics from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi. She obtained her first degree in Mathematics Education from the University of Education, Winneba. She also had her Certificate ‘A’ from Kibi Presbyterian College of Education (KiPCOE). Her research focuses on innovative teaching methods to make mathematics more accessible and engaging for students.

In the classroom, she fosters an environment where students feel empowered to investigate, question, and discover the beauty of mathematics. Her teaching philosophy is based on the belief that with proper guidance, encouragement, and curiosity, every student has the potential to excel in mathematics. Her teaching methods prioritize real-world applications, collaborative problem-solving, and the development of critical thinking skills.

Dora is a strong proponent of incorporating technology and interactive learning tools into her instruction, aiming to make mathematics not only understandable but also enjoyable. She actively participates in math clubs, competitions, and workshops, fostering curiosity and independent exploration.

Dora is committed to staying current on Mathematics pedagogical trends and promoting a student-centered approach, tailoring her teaching methods to each student’s unique learning styles and needs.
